My Story

I was first licensed as a Realtor in 1987.Michael Boughey 2 Percent Advantage Realty

In 1990 I also returned to UBC to what is now “The Sauder School of Business” and attained my Brokers designation.

During these first years in Real Estate I established myself throughout Vancouver and on the North Shore, and enjoyed considerable success.

Later in the mid 1990's I was offered the opportunity to travel, and sing aboard Cruise Ships.

I entertained on some of the great Cruise Line Companies including Costa, Princess, and Royal Caribbean to name a few.

 In 1997 while entertaining at the newly built Sheraton in Warsaw Poland I met my wife Monika.

With a love for Fine Art, myself and my wife Monika in 1999 accepted a position with Princess Cruises “Global Fine Arts”, to lecture and Auction Fine Art at Sea. In the years that followed we established ourselves as one of the top producers and innovators in the industry, selling tens of thousands of works of art for tens of Millions of Dollars.

In 2005 we were blessed by the birth of our daughter Nicole. We purchased a Home in North Vancouver and by 2007 after re-writing the Brokers exam I returned to Real Estate.

April 2010 Monika and I have the good fortune of another daughter, Josephine. Life is good.

December 2011 Monika and I have purchased a 2% Realty franchise. 2% Realty Advantage is now Open for business and we truly believe will be the vehicle to serve our clients with all that same great service, but at the fantastic new 2% commission rate. The 2% rate offers a significant savings for our clients, while results have shown it is still enough to ensure the co-operation of agents throughout the region.

Service

I aim to exceed the expectations of any individuals or families who trust me to represent them in one of the most important transactions of their lives. Promptly answering and/or returning phone calls/emails, keeping clients informed at every important step of the transaction, and ensuring that I’m never unavailable, are all things I consider to be crucial components of good service.
